Environmental Specialist

Interstate Chemical Company, Inc. is looking to hire a full time Environmental Specialist.

Job Description:

This employee is responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal, State and local regulations related to hazardous materials.
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
1. Developing and maintaining management information systems which identify the location of hazardous materials in all facilities.
2. Updating and delivering employee training programs related to hazardous materials and waste.
3. Investigating employee complaints concerning exposure to hazardous materials of air pollutants.
4. Maintaining accurate records related to chemical inventories, complaint investigations, and shipments of hazardous wastes.
5. Keeping informed of current and proposed regulations related to program areas assigned.
6. Performing related field work as required.
7. Sampling hazardous and/or industrial waste and bulk sampling of material suspected of containing asbestos.
8. Maintaining operation and inspection logs.
9. Submitting clear and concise written reports based on field inspections.
10. Recommending and coordinating the development of programs needed by the district to comply with hazardous materials regulations.
11. Providing coordination with regulatory agencies in regard to hazardous materials.
12. Disseminating Right-To-Know information.
13. Performing other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

Working knowledge of hazardous materials including hazardous wastes, asbestos, and other hazardous pollutants.
Ability to understand and apply government regulations related to hazardous materials and wastes.
Experience in inspecting for hazardous materials and understanding processes which can produce hazardous wastes and hazardous air pollutants.
Good interpersonal relationship skills.
5 - 10 years experience.

Must have a bachelors degree

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
