Manager of Merchant Services

Position Overview: This position is responsible for managing staff members and overseeing department functions. The incumbent is responsible for the profitable growth of the department and its merchant base through sales, retention, repricing , and effective use and implementation of strategic and tactical planning which often requires extensive traveling. He/she keeps informed of competition, industry advances and effectively addresses business implications of such on the business line. The incumbent monitors merchant portfolios for risk and profitability. Primary Responsibilities: Travels extensively to prospects new clients for Merchant Services and makes joint calls with Treasury Management Sales Reps, RM's and Branch Staff on new and existing Merchant Services clients to reach sales goals. Responsible to oversee all pricing related to high volume prospects. Supervises the daily functions of the Merchant Services Department, support staff, and manages a sales team responsible to meet set goals. Ensures that department meets all audit requirements. Develops and supports procedures for risk management on Merchant Services portfolios. Ensures merchant rate quotes are competitive and profitable and completed within specified time frames. Maintains awareness of new industry developments, researches and implements new products and ensures all balancing and audit functions are followed. Provides reporting to the Director of Treasury Management. Maintain customer Retention by meeting with 50 high profile merchants in person annually, and attending FNB market managers meetings. Manages relationships with 3rd party business partners. Conducts bi-weekly conference calls to processing partner to ensure products/services are as expected according to agreement. Works with 3rd party business partners to implement new products, train the sales team and ensures all card association rules and regulations are followed. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned. Minimum Education: BA or BS Minimum Years Experience: 7 Special Skills: Excellent management skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent customer service skills Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software Ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment MS Excel - Expert Level MS Word - Expert Level Experience in merchant services. Knowledge of merchant services functions within client organizations and accounts payable/receivable functions. Knowledge of commercial banking and treasury management preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
